Nurses Caught Stealing Baby From Hospital


Police in Katsina State have apprehended two nurses in an attempt to steal an abandoned new born baby girl in an hospital.

The spokesman of the State Police Command, Gambo Isah, said the nurses Misira Tijjani and Grace Ejigu were apprehended on July 28.

Isah said they had already sold the child to a woman named Eucharia Onyema, aged 45 years and from Sabuwar Kasuwa quarters in the state.

On July 25th 2020 at about 10pm, Shamsiyya Sani who is 25 years old and from Dandagoro quarters Katsina was delivered of a baby girl at Okomos Clinic, Kofar Kaura, Katsina.

Then she left the child at the hospital with a note stating that she delivered the baby out of wedlock so she won't be needing the baby.

The two Nurses were caught on their way from the hospital with the child through the help of a tricycle rider who suspected them of stealing the child.
